Rostock Zoo
Rostock Zoo is worth visiting all year round. You can go on a
discovery tour in the park, experience fascinating adventures and
get close up with 1.700 animals in 250 species from all over the world.
Rest and relax under old trees in more than 138 acres of wood and
park area. Witness the result of the ongoing change from a former
deer garden to the largest zoo along the Baltic coast, which started
more than 100 years ago.
Make sure you pay a visit to the big cat enclosures with the meerkats
as "lodgers", a sea bird aviary 2.500 mē big and fully
accessible for visitors, adventure playgrounds and pets' corner just

Hedeby Viking Museum
In Viking times Hedeby (German: Haithabu) used to be one of the most
important settlements in the north of Europe. The Hedeby Viking Museum
near Schleswig exhibits numerous artefacts from archaeological excavations.
In the big ship's hall you will find a longship which was discovered
in the harbour of Hedeby. The medieval city of Hedeby used to be a
pulsating early trading place built in a historical semicircle. Since
2005 findings have been used to reconstruct dwellings in their

both the finished and yet unfinished reconstructions of the houses.
Hansa Park
The themepark Hansa Park in Sierksdorf in the Bay of Luebeck is the
biggest of its kind in Schleswig-Holstein and has fun and action on
